An accomplished teacher, editor and publisher, Dr. Madhusudanan Pillai K.R has his B.A, M.A and B. Ed in English Literature from Kerala University. He began teaching English Literature at N.S.S College Nemmara in 1989. Ever since, he served as a lecturer/professor/HOD at NSS College, Ottapalam, Manjeri, Nilamel, Dhanuvachapuram and Mahatma Gandhi College, Thiruvananthapuram. He pursued research activities under FIP scheme and was awarded PhD from Madurai Kamaraj University. He has put in 38 years of service in different aided colleges in Kerala. He served as head Department of English at Mahatma Gandhi College, Thiruvananthapuram. He also served as Principal of NSS College, Ottapalam, and Principal of NSS College, Nilamel, Kollam. After his superannuation he has been working at different unaided/self financing colleges as principal, including principal of Nehru College of Arts and Science, Lakkidi, Palakkad which is now known as P.K. Das Liberal College of Arts and Science.
He served the University of Kerala as Chairman, Board of Studies in English (UG) and Member, Board of Studies in English (PG) during 2014-2017 and Member Board of Studies (PG) in Calicut University (2016-19) and is an adjudicator of many universities. Also he serves as a consultant for many publishers and content developer for Language Labs. Phonetics, Linguistics and Literary Criticism are his areas of specialization. His papers include ‘The Trauma of Incest in Mahesh Dattani’s Thirty Days in September ‘: The Power of Performance: Theatriical Innovations in Mahesh Dattani’s works: The Marginalization of Women : A Study of the Plays of Vijay Tendulkar: The Dramatic Vision of Mahesh Dattani ; The Portrayal of the Transgender in Revathy’s‘The Truth about me: The Voices of Feminism in Indian English Poetry since 1960. He has published 150 books on different aspects of literature. Some of the titles are given below.
