As part of the Women's Day celebration, the Women's Development Cell (WDC) of PKDLCAS organized a visit to Thannal Old Age Home on 09 March 2026 at 10:00 AM.
A total of 30 students participated in the programme. The visit aimed to spend time with the inmates of the old age home and to promote empathy, care, and social responsibility among students.
During the visit, the students interacted with the residents, shared conversations, and engaged in friendly activities with them. The inmates expressed happiness and gratitude for the time spent with the students. The visit helped create a warm and joyful atmosphere for everyone present.
The programme was coordinated by the WDC members, including Aparna and Silpa, who ensured the smooth conduct of the visit and made the day meaningful for both students and the residents.
The visit was a memorable experience for the students as it allowed them to understand the importance of compassion and support for the elderly in society.
